Wildcat Tuition Awards

Ìý$2,000 toÌý $11,000 per academic year

Criteria

Incoming first-yearÌýArizona resident students.

Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, demonstrate lawful immigration status or be a qualifying, non-citizen Arizona high school graduate who is receiving in-state tuition through Proposition 308.

Arizona Tuition Awards

Ìý$4,000 to $20,000 per academic year

Incoming first-yearÌýnon-Arizona resident students.

Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, demonstrate lawful immigration status or be a qualifying, non-citizen Arizona high school graduate who is receiving in-state tuition through Proposition 308.

Global Wildcat Tuition Awards

Determined by your grade point average (GPA), which is calculated in the admission process.Ìý

NotÌýavailable for use in Distance Campus,Ìý programs, Global Partner Programs, or for Global Microcampus program use.

National Scholar Tuition Awards

National Merit Semifinalists

Arizona Residents: Wildcat Tuition Award + $1,000 bonus award per academic year

Non-Arizona Residents: Arizona Tuition Award + $1,000 bonus award per academic year

National Merit Finalists

Arizona Residents: $18,000 per academic year

Non-Arizona Residents: Arizona Tuition Award + $3,000 bonus award per academic year

Criteria

IncomingÌýnon-Arizona and Arizona resident National Scholarship semifinalists and finalists.

Students must respond to theÌýNational Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) by their established dates to accept these awards.

EligibilityÌý

To assess students' eligibility for both admission and merit aid, the university utilizes a holistic review process that considers each student’s full academic history – in the context of where they lived and learned – and other life experiences.ÌýLearn more about becoming a Wildcat.Ìý

Students admitted for the spring semester areÌýnotÌýeligible for the first-year merit awards listed above. See each scholarship’sÌýÌýfor full eligibility details.

Renewal Criteria

Students may receive renewable scholarships for up to four consecutive years (8 semesters total) for fall and spring semesters only,* based on meeting academic year renewal requirements. SeeÌý for standard minimum renewal requirements.Ìý

*Students who are enrolled in the College of Architecture, Planning & Landscape Architecture’s 5-year Bachelor of Architecture degree program will receive five consecutive years (ten semesters total) for fall and spring semesters only, based on meeting academic year renewal requirements.

Home-Schooled Students

Incoming first-year students who are home schooled will be reviewed for merit aid (Wildcat and Arizona Awards) based on their complete application, including portfolio/course work. Students should apply by our Early Action deadline of November 1 for priority merit aid consideration.

Arizona Online

Arizona merit tuition awards are not available for use inÌýÌýprograms, with the exception of the Online Transfer Tuition Scholarship.

Financial Aid Award Payments

All financial aid awards are divided into two equal disbursements paid to the student, half in the fall term and half in the spring term, unless otherwise noted.
